
Thanks to a funding grant from charitable trust Te Rau Ora, Tū Wairua partnered with local training provider Te Pūtake, to deliver decolonisation training to kaitieki (guides) undertaking phase-one clinical trials.
Research and evaluation company Ihi Research, undertook an appreciative inquiry to better understand how Te Pūtake nurtures transformative change, learning, cultural restoration, and reclamation of psychedelic-assisted practices.
The report emphasises for us the importance of a decolonisation training component or certification for all psychedelic-assisted therapy practitioners seeking to work with whānau Māori.
